Awards & recognition
Recognition
I’m a member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) — an international organisation that judges documentary wedding photography across quarterly contests by an editorial panel of working photojournalists.
I’m also an internationally award-winning wedding photographer, with recognition across several quarters of WPJA judging.
What this means for your wedding
The WPJA exists to celebrate the kind of wedding photography that records the day as it actually happened — moments observed, not staged. Membership requires a portfolio of documentary work judged against international standards.
In practical terms: an editorial eye on your day, no choreographed line-ups masquerading as “candid,” and a long-form record of the wedding that holds up decades later.
Member benefits
- Continuous peer review against international standards.
- A backup network of WPJA photographers I trust, available in the rare event I can’t shoot your wedding myself.
- Continuing-education access to the editorial craft of wedding photojournalism.
